這本小書是2012年尼爾蓋曼給美國費城藝術大學的畢業生致詞。
 
因為有太多太多很棒的人認識不到，近幾年很愛看這種自說自話的傳記性質東西。
真喜歡猜心拆腦噬靈魂啊我XD
尼爾蓋曼沒寫自傳，這本小書是目前找得到最接近心路歷程的作品。
跟炸貓沒啥關係，總之是勉勵藝術家不管發生甚麼事都做好藝術就是了！

A distance mountain. My goal.
And I knew that as I kept walking towards the mountain I would be all right.
簡單明瞭，深得我心！
隨時想想現在做的這件事情有沒有讓自己離目標更近就好囉。
令人安心，易於執行，不限於藝術家使用。

The things I did because I was excited,
and wanted to see them exist in reality had never let me down,
and I've never regretted the time I spent on any of them.
蓋曼叔舉了寫書的例子：
有次他純為錢寫了本書，結果賣得不好；
後來他覺得那不如就寫自己想寫的書──就算賣得不好，至少我還有我的書唄！
不過，好運會在努力還有周詳計畫的交叉點上面出現，
故先週詳計畫出一件既有趣又獲利的事再放手去做是最有效益的。
若還沒找到自己的那座遠山，朝這個方向思考還不錯。

People will tolerate how unpleasant you are if your work is good and you deliver it on time.
They'll forgive your lateness of your work if it's good, and if they like you.
And you don't have to be as good as the others if you're on time and it's always a pleasure to hear from you.

雖然他的演說對象是自由工作者(藝術家們)，但這放諸四海皆準~
看看四周，不解釋XD

So be wise, because the world need more wisdom,
and if you cannot be wise,
pretend to be someone who is wise,
and then just behave like they would.
可參考的思考方向。
益發感謝身邊有那麼多那麼不同卻各有長才的人們，
還有肯花時間書寫的著述者們。

「他是你care的病人吧？去世了，家人發現他沒有心跳，心肌梗塞。」
太早太意外，如遭背刺。
He was a lonly man. Poor family support.
Tongue cancer, blind, unable to talk and walk, HTN, diabetic nephropathy.
Luckliy, he had friends that care about him.
They came from far and near, stay by his side in the last monthes of his life.
What else can I say in front the Death?
Too hard to say a word.
Just RIP.
